Built because the advice we got wasn't good enough

We kept watching capable students make irreversible decisions on bad information — coaching marketing, outdated advice, a consultant quietly paid by the college they recommended. Nobody was lying. They just had no incentive to be right. So we built the alternative.

How we work

These are testable claims, not values-page language. Each one can be checked, and you should check them.

We are paid by families, not colleges
No referral fees, no commissions, no arrangements with any institution. Ask any consultant to state this in writing — we do.

We explain the reasoning, not just the answer
Every recommendation comes with why, so you can challenge it and tell good advice from confident advice.

We will tell you when the answer is no
A poor college, an unneeded plan, a PhD that doesn’t serve your goals — saying so costs us money and buys your trust.

Parents are part of the conversation
The person funding a decision deserves the reasoning directly, not relayed. Most sessions end with a family agreeing on what they’d been arguing about.

Satyam founded ConfirmYourCollege after watching the same pattern repeat through his own engineering education: capable students making irreversible academic decisions on rumour, coaching-centre marketing, and advice from people with a financial stake in the answer.

Having gone from Bhagalpur College of Engineering to an NIT through GATE — qualifying six times, and clearing UGC NET — he knows first-hand the route students are most often told is closed to them. He works primarily with students targeting GATE, M.Tech admissions and research pathways.
